COLONEL KNOX INSPECTS DEFENCES. “POTENTIAL DANGER SPOT” (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.35 P-niJ BALBOA (Canal Zone), Sept. 25. The Secretary for the Navy, Colonel Knox, has arrived at the Cocosolo Naval Base for an inspection of the naval installations of the Canal zone. _ Colonel Knox said defence against air attack here was as perfect as anywhere in the world. He paid a tribute to Army and Navy co-operation in defence. He praised especially the cooperation of the governments of Panama and other Central and South America republics. “Apparently,'’ he said, “everybody appreciates the gravity of the situation on this active war front. This is a potential danger spot which duplicates conditions in the South-Western Pacific.”
