BIRTHDAY PARTY ENJOYABLE GATHERING. (“Times-Age” Special.) About seventy friends gathered at “Wattle Glen,” the residence of Mr and Mrs H. C. Playle, Kahutara, recently, the occasion being the 21st birthday of their son, Rex. A most enjoyable time was spent in cards, singing and dancing. A competition was won by Mrs Rendle, The health of the guest of honour was proposed by Mr Pope, that of the parents by Mr Rendle, and that of friends on active service by Mr Coriet. Mr Playle handed his son a key of the house. Personal. Mrs Donaldson, Wellington, and Mrs Wakefield, Petone, have been visiting their parents, Mr and Mrs C. R. Skipage. COSY THEATRE “MOON OVER MIAMI.” The outstanding musical comedy. “Moon Over Miami,” will be shown at the Cosy Theatre tonight. This recordbreaking picture provides the most tuneful comedy brought to the screen during the past year. The leading roles are taken by Betty Grable, Don Ameche, Carol Landis and Robert Cummings. It is a picture which certainly should not be missed.
