SOUTH FEATHERSTON
EUCHRE AND DANCE COMPETITION WINNERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) Owing to the rough weather there was only a moderate attendance at the euchre party and dance held in the South Featherston Hall on Thursday night. The music was supplied by Mr T. Udy’s band. Mr H. Graham capably carried out the duties of M.C. The Monte Carlo waltzes were won by Mr R. Chisholm and Miss Hyland and Miss Sorensen and partner. The card winners were: — Ladies: Mrs P. Wilton, 1; Mrs R. Fuge, 2. Men: Mr H. W. Willis, 1; Mrs F. R. Burt, 2. Seed potatoes donated by Mr Beattie were won by Mr McCann. Parcels for Soldiers. The War Service Committee met in the South Featherston Hall on Friday night and packed Christmas parcels for local soldiers who are serving overseas.
