NEARING THE CAPITAL
ADVANCING BRITISH TROOPS IN MADAGASCAR. VICHY GOVERNOR-GENERAL GOES SOUTH. LONDON, September 20.
In Madagascar the British column advancing on the capital from the north-west is less than 50 miles away. According to Vichy, the GovernorGeneral (M. Annet) has transferred his headquarters to a town in the south of the island.
