TO THE UTMOST
LAVAL’S “COLLABORATION WITH NAZIS. AMUSEMENT PLACES CLOSED IN PARIS. LONDON, September 20. Laval had a long conference with Marshal Petain this morning. This followed a warning to the French people that his collaboration with the Nazis would be extended to the utmost. In Paris all places of amusement have been closed by the Nazis and meetings forbidden. The reason given is that demonstrations were expected against the Nazi regime.
