Mrs H. Geddis, Dunedin, is visiting her mother. Mrs A. T. Thompson, Upper Plain. Miss Daisy Hubbard, formerly of Masterton, who has been in Australia for the past two years, has returned to New Zealand.

The Hon. W. A. Bodkin. Minister of Civil Defence, left Wellington yesterday on a tour of the central E.P.S. district in the North Island. The Minister expects to return to Wellington on October 2.

The death occurred recently in Wellington on Mrs Constance de Bathe Larnach. She was the eldest daughter of the late Mr A. de B. Brandon. M.L.C.. who was among the well-known pioneer residents of Wellington. Mrs Larnach married the late Mr W. Al. Larnach, of Dunedin, the designer and builder of the well-known "Larnach Castle."
