GREYTOWN
MEM OF FORCES ENTERTAINED BY CITIZENS’ COMMITTEE. (“Timos-Age” Special.) The Town Hall was packed when the Greytown Citizens’ Committee entertained fourteen local men of the forces at a social gathering and dance. They were: M. and T. Montgomerie, C. Field, I. Garrity, B. Kiernan, M. Heapy, B. Suooner. O. Hood, G. Keltie, I. Coleman, P. S. Wilson, N. Woodley, K. Woodley and T. Harvey. The mayor (Mr A. W. Horton), on behalf of the Citizens' Committee, extended good wishes to the men and stated that all arms of the service were represented at the gathering. The residents of the district were proud of these men, many of whom had brothers already serving overseas. Mrs R. Beu, on behalf of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, presented each guest with a set of woollen comforts. Mr Shedden apologised for the absence ci Miss Higginson and extended good wishes to the men from the Returned Services' Association.
Mr J. F. Thompson spoke on behalf of the sports bodies. ■ C. Field replied on behalf of the Navy, E. Kiernan for the Fleet Air Arm, and G. Keltic for the Army.

Sale of Properties. There has been a mild boom in the sale of properties in Greytown during the past few weeks. Several properties in Main Street have changed hands.
TOWN HALL
. “MAYTIME.” Tonight’s programme at the Town Hall will be headed by one of the best musical comedy-dramas ever brought before picture patrons —“Maytime.” Many tuneful numbers are sung by Nelson Eddy and Jeanette MacDonald, who have the leading roles.
