SOLDIERS’ COMFORTS CARD TOURNAMENT. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Borough Ladies 1 Soldiers’ Comforts Committee held its fortnightly flag 500 tournament in the Anglican Hall on Saturday evening. Mr L. C. Christie conducted the games, which were keenly -contested. Miss M. Anderson (president) presented the ■ prizes to the following winners:—Ladies: Mesdames .Handyside and Murray Aynsley. Men: Messrs A. Southey and' C. Buckeridge. The prizes were donated by Mrs W. C. Curry. The hostesses were Mesdames E. M. Simmers and G. Murray Aynsley. Personal Items. Mr Gallagher, the new postmaster, has arrived in Eketahuna. Mesdames P. S. Page and T. Page, Senr., spent the weekend in Wellington.
