SEWING GUILD MONTHLY MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Patriotic Sewing Guild was held at Tikitapu when Mrs Dagg presided over a-.good attendance of members. Donations were received from Mrs Godfrey and Mrs W. Cheetham. A trophy, given by Mrs. S. Anderson, was won by Mrs P. Pickering. Two finished quilts were handed in. The president appealed for more knitters. j? It' was reported that sixteen soldiers’ parcels had been packed. Many letters of appreciation were read from soldiers in camp who had received parcels. It was decided to write to Mrs Gregory, an ex-member, at present in the hospital, wishing her a speedy return to health. A “bring and buy” stall did brisk business. Afternoon tea was served and the meeting closed with a vote of thanks to Mrs Meredith for the use of her home. • SERVICE BELOW THE SURFACE. Many of the worth-while services in this world are below the surface. You cannot always see quality or superior’ knowledge. The distinctive service your Chemist offers you is something unseen —the specialised training, the professional tradition, the confidence based on knowledge Take advantage of these values whenever you require medicinal or toilet products. Your CHEMIST is a great deal more than a buyer and seller of goods. He is qualified to advise you and gives you friendly personal attention. You can always be certain, too, that the articles he stocks are of dependable quality. 29
