PROMOTION TO PACIFIC COMMAND. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.45 a.m.) RUGBY, September 1. It was officially announced in Ottawa today that Major-General Pearkes, now commander of the First Division overseas, will soon return to Canada to assume the important appointment of General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Pacific Command.
