WASTE COTTON

URGENTLY NEEDED BY AIR FORCE. The New Zealand Air Force are again in urgent need of waste cotton for cleaning purposes and although the Girl Guides have already collected tons of rags throughout New Zealand they have again undertaken to carry out the present drive for waste. This necessitates a great deal of work as a house-to-house collection has to be made and householders could do a lot to help the Guides if they would have their parcels ready. It is hoped to collect 115 tons and as the handling and packing of such a quantity is in itself a big task, residents are asked to do all they can to help this energetic band of workers who are ready at any time to do their bit in the National War effort.
