GREYTOWN
—-— RESUSCITATION CLASS WINNERS OF CERTIFICATES. (“Times-Age” Special.) The following candidates were successful in gaining their resuscitation certificates: —W. A. Tate, H. J. Farley. J. Wood, J. Fisher, A. Moy, R. Brunton. J. McLean, G. Thompson, F. R. Tucker, and R. C. Bryant. The examination was conducted by Major J. L. Dighton, Secretary of the Royal Life Saving Society, Wellington. Personal. The death occurred at Suva on August 23 of Mrs Rachael Edwards. The late Mrs Edwards was the youngest daughter of the late Mr G. M. York, of Greytown. She is survived by her husband, two brothers (Messrs A. H. York, Greytown, and W. York, Carterton), and two daughters (Miss York and Mrs E. Edwards, Auckland). TOWN HALL “HOLD BACK THE DAWN." At a matinee tomorrow at 2.15 p.m. and in the evening there will be presented at the Town Hall the excellent drama, “Hold Back the Dawn,” featuring Charles Boyer, Paulette Goddard and Olivia de Haviland.
