OBITUARY
mr. a. c. McPherson.
The death occurred this morning at Masterton of Mr Alfred Campbell McPherson, a well known resident of the Wairarapa. The late Mr McPher-. son was born in Hamilton 66 years ago and in his youth was a prominent jockey. Coming to the Wairarapa in 1907 he trained horses for some time on his own account, Livinia and Swallow. among others, being successfully raced by him. Later he took up dairy farming in the Eketahuna district, and in 1920 he purchased a farm at Tawaha. Recently he retired to live in Masterton. He is survived by a widow, four daughters and three sons. The funeral will take place tomorrow, arriving at the Martinborough Cemetery at 2 p.m.
