IN RAPID CONSTRUCTION OF SHIPS. VESSELS LAUNCHED AFTER 22 WORKING DAYS. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) ALAMEDA (California), August 25. Two steel cargo ships were launched simultaneously at the Pacific Bridge Company yard 22 working days aftei the keels were laid. This is anothei shipbuilding record. The previous record was 30 days. . The keels were laid end to end in a dock eight feet below water-level and the ships were launched by flooding the basin.
