SERVICE CLUB ENJOYABLE EUCHRE PARTY. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a good attendance at the euchre party held at the Service Club on Tuesday night, the gathering being a most enjoyable one. The first prize was won by Mrs Ruane, Mrs Salisbury being second. The mystery envelope was won by Mr Tait. ' .GOLF CLUB WOMEN’S CHAMPPIONSHIP. The final round for the women’s championship was played on the Gum Grove links yesterday afternoon when Mrs Elbe beat Mrs Donald. In the bogey competition Mrs Elbe was first, Mrs Pope second, and Miss Williams third. Schools at Play. Basketball and football teams from the Featherston District High School journeyed to Carterton yesterday to play matches against the Carterton school. At basketball Featherston won the A grade match by 20-16, and /die B grade contest by 15-2. At football Carterton won by 20 points to nil. Personal Items. Miss Linklater, who had been on the relieving staff of the Featherston District High School, left today to visit her parents on the West Coast prior to taking up a new position at Hawera. Mrs J. D. Stouppe, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs S. Kilsby. Personal Items. The death occurred at Masterton yesterday of a well known resident of Featherston in the person of Mr Henry Joseph Hutchings, of “The Knoll.” COSY THEATRE DOUBLE PROGRAMME. There will be a double programme presented tomorrow night headed by “Moon Over Burma,” a thrilling romance in which the chief roles are taken by Dorothy Lamour, Robert Preston and Preston Foster, and “Weekend For Three,” a comedy drama in which Zasu’Pitts, Dennis O’Keefe and Ed. Everett Horton are seen at their best.
