SOCIAL EVENING

MASTERTON TOWNSWOMEN’S . f • GUILD. A social evening was held in the Knox Hall last night by the Masterton Townswomen’s Guild, the president, Mrs Copp, being in the chair. A play was presented by the Drama Circle, entitled “Sing a Song of Sixpence,” those taking part being Mesdames Douglas, Downes, Graham, Jarvis, Hill and Diggle. The Drama Circle also held a competition in costume. Other items were:—Dance, Norma Brown; vocal solo, Mrs Spicer; piano solo, Mrs Speight. Mrs Miller Hope played the accompaniments. Supper was served by a ladies’ committee.
