COURSING

WAIRARAPA CLUB. PHYSICK CUP CONTEST. At the weekend the Wairarapa Coursing Club’s programme for the season will be advanced a further stage when the premier open challenge trophy, the Physick Cup, will be run. Donated in. 1928 by Mr J. R- Physick, the cup has been competed for each year and has to be won three times before becoming the property of an owner. Two owners have won it twice —Mrs L. H. Jones and Mr W. L. Jensen, while many other prominent owners throughout New Zealand have been successful once. Nominations will close tonight at 6 o clock. The draw will take place in the A. and P. Rooms, Perry Street, tomorrow night at 8.30 o’clock. At 7.30 o’clock the executive will meet to make final arrangements for the meeting.
