STATE THEATRE

“RAFFLES.” An outstanding picture, “Raffles,” will be shown tonight. It is full of excitement and the plot is cleverly worked out. There are numerous dramatic situations which are skilfully handled by a particularly capable band of actors and actresses. The picture should hold the close attention of the audience from start to finish as it quickly passes from one brilliant and cleverly constructed scene to another. “Raffles” is based on the celebrated novel “The Amateur Cracksman.” The leading roles are taken by David Niven and Olivia de Havilland. There is a particularly good supporting programme.
