ALFREDTON
PERSONAL ITEMS (“Times-Age” Special.) The The death occurred at Taihape recently of a former resident of this district in the person of Mr Len Fearne. Mr Fearne came to Alfredton from the South Island about fifty years ago, and was in business as a carrier. Later Mr Fearne was engaged as a surfaceman by the Eketahuna County Council, a position from which he retired about two years ago. Mr and Mrs Fearne were both very highly respected residents and took a keen interest in all matters connected with the progress of the district Mr and Mrs Stewart have returned to Dannevirke after having been the guests of Mr and Mrs G. Walker. Miss Z. Smith is visiting Wellington. Mr and Mrs S. Edmonds spent the weekend in Wellington.
