Thomas, postmaster, who has been on .sick leave, has resumed duty. Miss Miriam Lovegrcve. of the local post office stall, is spending a week’s leave with her sister at Khandalki'h. Mr J. A. McDougall is visith;g Christchurch. Mr J. Smart, first assistant at the local cheese factory, has arrived from Pahiatua. Erection of Chimneys. The work of erecting chimneys damaged in the earthquake is being carried out by members of the armed forces, who deserve the highest praise for their workmanship. Cheese Factory. The local cheese factory opened for the season today (Monday).
