GENERAL GOTT’S FATE
PLANE SHOT DOWN BY ENEMY. (British Official Wifeless.) (Received This Day, 10.25 a.m.) RUGBY, August 13. It is now officially stated that Lieu-tenant-General W. H. F. Gott, whose death in Egypt was announced on Monday, was killed when the aeroplane in which he was a passenger was shot down by an enemy aircraft.
