TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD

MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS. ADDRESS BY MISS MACE. The Masterton Townswomen’s Guild held its monthly meeting in the Y.M.C.A. on Tuesday. The gold thread was taken by Mrs Duckett, her subject being “Work for Peace.” Mrs Judd reported on patriotic activities. She stated that the Guild had fulfilled its quota of 2000 hussifs. More socks were needed to be made into mittens.

The roll call, “Constructive Criticism of the Guild,” produced a keen discussion.

After tea had been dispensed Miss Mace gave a very interesting address on her trip from Sweden to England during the war.
