ST. LUKE’S CHURCH MEETING OF LADIES’ GUILD. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of St. Luke’s Church Ladies’ Guild was held yesterday afternoon in the Parish Hall when Mrs York presided over a good attendance. A motion of sympathy was passed to the Rev. J. A. E. Preston in connection with his recent bereavement. It was reported that two members of the Guild, Mesdames Blissett and Davis, had recovered sufficiently to be able to return to their homes from the hospital. The Qutch Fair, which is to be held early in November, was fully discussed, and a number of articles were handed in for the stalls. The hostesses were Mesdames S. Barcham and H. Kidd. Personal Items. Mrs K. Finlay has returned to Hastings after having been the guest of Mrs Tully Senr., Main Street. Aircraftman. K. Stuart is spending his leave with his parents, Mr and Mrs A. Stuart, Greytcwn. TOWN HALL “BOOM TOWN.” At the matinee at 2.15 p.m. tomorrow and also in the evening at 8 o’clock there will be shown the splendid drama, “Boom Town,” in which the leading parts are portrayed by Clarke Gable, Spencer Tracey, Hedy Lamarr, Claudette Colbert, Frank Morgan and Lionel Atwill . There will also be screened a March of Time depicting Norway in. revolt.
