The Hon D. G. Sullivan, Minister of Supply and Munitions, left Wellington yesterday for Christchurch. Mr T. H. Horton has taken up a position on the staff of Messrs G. H. Perry and Co. Ltd., Masterton. The secretary of the Drapers’ Federation, Mr Riley, of Wellington, yesterday addressed a meeting in Masterton of drapers and footwear retailers. He explained various matters in connection with rationing.
.Commodore W. E. Parry, formerly Chief of the N.Z. Naval Staff, and captain of the Achilles in the. River Plate battle, has arrived in London, a cablegram states. He spent a fortnight in Washington making contact with members of the United States Navy Department.
