FRENCH HOSTAGES
THIRTY TO BE SHOT FOLLOWING DYNAMITING OF TRAINS. CARRYING U-BOAT CREWS & SUPPLIES. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.55 p.m.) LONDON, August 5. A Madrid message states that, according to a report from Paris, thirty French hostages will be shot for the dynamiting of a train travelling to Cherbourg, carrying supplies and relief crews for U-boats. The dynamiting occurred despite the fact that the Germans put forty Frenchmen on the train, ten of whom were killed and thirty injured. Ten German soldiers were killed. : i.J
