FROM EQUATORIAL AFRICA AMERICAN DISCUSSION. WITH FIGHTING FRENCH. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.40 a.m.) WASHINGTON, August 5. The Secretary of State (Mr Cordell Hull) in a statement to the Press, said discussions were being held with representatives of the Fighting French National Committee in London to formulate a procedure for obtaining raw materials, including rubber, from French Equatorial Africa and other Fighting French territories. Mr Hull explained the discussions revolved entirely around the Lend-Lease policy, under which aid was already going to the Fighting French, with emphasis on the possibilities of obtaining strategic materials from Africa.
