HOMEWARD BOUND
R.A.F. FIGHTERS SIGHTED OVER CHANNEL COMING FROM BOULOGNE & CALAIS. ENEMY RAIDS TWO BRITISH TOWNS. LONDON, August 4. R.A.F. fighters were seen flying back across the Channel this afternoon, from the direction of Boulogne and Calais. Details of the day’s operations are not yet known. After a raid-free night a few enemy planes came over the south coast this morning and dropped bombs on two towns. ' Some casualties and damage are reported. GERMAN_REPORT HARBOUR Sc ARMS WORKS BOMBED. (Received This Day, 9.45 a.m.) LONDON, August 4. Berlin announced that the Luftwaffe yesterday bombed arms works in Leicester and Leeds and harbour works at Middlesborough.
