(By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.45 a.m.) OTTAWA, August 2. _ After consultation with the British and American governments, it is considered best for Canada to maintain her Charged D’Affaires at Vichy and also to maintain the French Legation in Ottawa. The Prime Minister (Mr Mackenzie King), in announcing this in the House of Commons, said: '•Some reasons foi the decision cannot be disclosed, but the feelings of the French people are among the considerations taken into account.” Mr King added: “Canada has no regard for Laval, who is considered the mouthpiece of Germany.”
