NAZI AERODROMES

BEHIND “IRON WEST WALL.” HIGH COMMAND STATEMENT. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.35 p.m.) LONDON, July 31. The German High Command, in a statement, said that behind, the “iron west wall,” from Biarritz to Kirkenes, Germany has in the past two years constructed a dense chain of secret aerodromes, invisible from the air, concrete runways enabling all types of planes to land in all weathers. Large forces of bombers and fighters, it is added, are concentrated on these bases and from many of them raids on England are being carried out.
