FOOTWEAR CONTROL

Plans for the control of civilian footwear in Australia will be announced after a survey has been made of leather stocks. Footwear is rationed, but is omitted from the standardisation schedule recently issued. Under the control plan, a balance will be preserved between Defence, essential services and civilian supplies.
