“BLITZ AID”

INTERESTING ADDRESS. GIVEN TO WAIRARAPA NURSES. “Blitq Aid” was the subject of an address given by Dr H. Smith, Medical Officer of Health, Wellington, to the members of the Wairarapa branch of the Trained Nurses’ Association at their monthly meeting held last night in the Nurses’ Home at the Masterton Hospital. Dr Smith stressed the importance of people being taught to render simple first aid treatment promptly should the occasion arise. He also described different 1 methods of controlling

haemorrhage and emphasised the necessity of immediate treatment for shock. On 'behalf of those present Miss Grant thanked the speaker for his most interesting address. Supper was served by members of the association.
