GREYTOWN
ENJOYABLE CONCERT GIRL GUIDES AND MAORIS. (“Times-Age” Special.) A very enjoyable concert was given at the Soldiers’ Club on Sunday evening by Girl Guides and Maoris. The > programme of songs, recitations, club swinging, action, poi dances by Maoris, ballets and a humorous sketch terminated with a community sing. Mrs G. R. Jury, Captain of Guides, was responsible for the entertainment. Personal Items. Miss E. Best, of Wellington, was a weekend visitor to Greytown, staying with her parents, Mr and Mrs F. Best, Main Street. Mrs F. Wheatley, of Palmerston North, was the weekend guest of Mrs Maloney, McMastei’ Street. Mr A. Alexander, of Ohakea, is the guest of Mr and Mrs Maloney, McMaster Street. TOWN HALL “THAT NIGHT IN RIO.” In the Town Hall tomorrow night there will be presented the brilliant musical comedy, “That Night in Rio,” in which Alice Faye, Don Ameche and Carmen Miranda have the leading roles.
