FREE TEAS RESUMED. MEN OF SERVICES ENTERTAINED. After an interval of four Sundays consequent upon earthquake disorganisation, the Sunday free teas for men of the services were resumed yesterday afternoon at the Y.M.C.A. rooms. For this occasion it was conducted by the Masterton League of Mothers. There was a large attendance and full justice was done to the fare provided. Mr W. L. Hunter, on behalf of the Board of Directors, welcomed those present and introduced the hostesses for the evening. Mrs H. S. Kings, vice-president of the League, spoke of the pleasure it gave her associ.res to entertain with something resembling a home away from home. At the same time she apologised for the absence of their president, Mrs L. B. Maunsell, who was indisposed through an attack of influenza. The devotional session was led by Mr D. A. Campbell (Y.M.C.A. Field Secretary). Mesdarnes Speight and Moss contributed much appreciated vocal solos, Mrs Miller Hope being the accompaniste. Thanks on behalf of their respective arms of the service, was expressed by Corp. Stone (Army) and L. A. C. Carpenter (Air Force). Following the tea, Miss Mollie Iveson and her party entertained a large company of the men at a community sing.
