AFTER THE EARTHQUAKE FULL MAIL SERVICE RESTORED. (“Times-Age” Special.) The local mail service which has been conducted under most trying conditions during the earthquake and flood periods, is fully operating again. The damage to the roads, fences and property generally by, first, the earthquake and then by the flood is very extensive in this district. Chimneys are now receiving attention. Personal Items. Mr J. L. Heckler, who was severely injured as the result of a fall a few weeks ago, is making a satisfactory recovery. Miss J. E. Myers is visiting relatives in Hawke’s Bay. Gunner D. Johansen was the guest of Mr and Mrs C. R. Judd during the week.
