OBITUARY
THE RT. REV. T. ,H. SPROTT. FORMER BISHOP OF WELLINGTON (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The death has occurred of Bishop Sprott. The funeral will take place at 11.30 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Paul's Pro-Cathedral. The Rt. Rev. Thomas Henry Sprott, 0.8. E., D.D., was born at Dromorej County Down, Ireland in 1856. He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin, and was ordained by Archbishop Thomson, in York Minster. He became vicar of St Barnabas’s, Mt Eden, in 1886, and was Vicar of St Paul’s Pro-Cathedral, Wellington, from 1895 to 1911. Consecrated as Bishop of Wellington in 1911, he resigned in 1935. He was the author of Modern Study, of Old Testament and Inspiration.
