4. LATEST BRITISH FIGURES. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, .10.45 a.m.) RUGBY, July 24. Income tax payers in the United Kingdom number’ 10| millions, compared with 3,800,000 three years ago. The number not paying tax is 4| millions. Of the present taxpayers, 6,300,000 earn between £llO and £250 annually and 3,200,000 earn between £250 arjd £5OO. The 'total income assessed for taxes is £4,250,000,000 and the total tax paid is 835 millions.
