RUBBER SUBSTITUTE
FORD COMPANY PRODUCT. OFFERED TO AMERICAN GOVERNMENT. (By Telegraph—Press Associaiion—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.55 a.m.) DETROIT, July 24. The Ford Company has announced that it has developed a rubber substitute, two pounds of which permits the retreading of tires, enabling 4000 miles of moderate driving. A plan submitted to the Government, if approved, will be available to the entire war industry.
