BAN ON COMMUNISTS
AND OTHER PARTIES HELD ILLEGAL. MAY BE LIFTED IN CANADA. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.15 a.m.) OTTAWA, July 23. The Defence of Canada Regulations Committee of the House of Commons recommended to Parliament that the Communist Party ban should be lifted. The committee is also recommending the lifting of the ban on seven other organisations at present held to be illegal.
