TASKS FOR VOROSHILOV
COMMAND OF NEW DEFENCE LINE. LONDON, July 22. Vichy radio reported that Marshal Voroshilov has been recalled from north Russia to command a new defence line protecting the railway from Stalingrad to Krasnodar and Novorossisk. Marshal Voroshilov, after meeting the first German onslaught, was transferred last autumn to the task of organising and. training new armies behind Moscow, while Marshal Budenny was given a similar reserve command in the south-east.
