SERVICE CLUB ENJOYABLE GATHERING. ("Times-Age” Special.) The euchre party held in the Service Club on Tuesday night was well attended. The ’first prize was won by Mr Dick Holland and the second prize by Mrs Kinsey. Mrs Watson was the winner of the mystery envelop. Personal. Sergeant R. F. Watson is home foi a few days on sick leave. Grow More Wheat Campaign. There was a good attendance of farmers at a meeting held on Tuesday evening. Nir C. J. Nix was in the chair. The speakers were Messrs J. Robeitson M.P., B. Roberts, M.P., R. H. Brewerton and R. W. Kebbell, who stressed the need for growing as much wheat as possible, and also spoke on the manpower question. Golf. The lady members of the golf club played for the challenge cup yesterday afternoon, the points scored being: Mrs Elbe, 3 points; Mrs Pope, 2 points; Miss M. Ruane, 1 point. A bogey competition resulted: Mrs Elbe 1, Mrs Pope 2, Miss M. Ruane and Mrs Lovegrove 3. COSY THEATRE DOUBLE PROGRAMME. The double programme at the Cosy Theatre tomorrow night will be headed by “Highway West,” a thrilling drama featuring Brenda Marshall and Arthur Kennedy, and “Back in the Saddle,” a Gene Autry story of the West.
