Of the whole herd, only two cows did not reach double figures. Buyers were mainly from the Carterton district, although Hutt buyers were operating. Bidding held right through the sale and the whole herd, including a few late calvers, made the very satisfactory average of £l2 4s. A very select line of three-year heifers was offered and these made up to £l4 10s, the lot averaging £l3. The two-year heifers made' up to £lO. A few implements and sundries were offered which made good values. We also offered a small herd on behalf of Mr Bert Hodder. These made up to £l2, and the two-year heifers up to £8 10s.
