SEDITION-MONGERS IN U.S.A. FALSE CHARGES AGAINST MacARTHUR. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) LOS ANGELES, July 20. Robert Noble and Ellis Jones, leaders of the Friends of Progress Organisation, were sentenced to imprisonment for five and four years respectively for sedition. . TJie pair alleged that General MacArthur deserted his troops in the Batan Peninsula and urged the impeachment of President Roosevelt.
