INJURY PROVES FATAL

MAN DIES AFTER OPERATION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WAIROA, This Day. Mr John Angus McCarthy, who some days ago suffered an injury when he slipped and fell, a bayonet going through his leg, failed to rally after an amputation operation and died this morning. Mr McCarthy was married, aged 34, with no family. He was previously employed as a linotypist by the Gisborne “Herald.”
