WEDDING

DANIELL—CODY. Lovely flowers in shades of pink decorated the Masterton Methodist Church on Thursday morning, the occasion being the marriage of Gretta Elizabeth, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs W. J. Cody, Masterton, to Murray Edward, fifth son of Mr and Mrs F. C. Daniell, also of Masterton. The Rev H. S. Kings officiated and was assisted by the Rev K. P. Lilly, Pokeno, uncle of the bride. The organist was Miss Constance Donald, the bridegroom’s cousin. The bride looked charming in a slim fitting frock of ivory slipper satin with lace yoke and sleeves, and carried a beautiful bouquet of arum lilies, June roses, freesias and maidenhair fern. Her embroidered veil of Brussels net, which fell from a topknot of white flowers, was worn over the face as she entered the church, and formed a second train. The bridesmaid, Miss Phyllis Cody, sister of the bride, wore a full skirted orchid pink taffeta frock richly appliqued in deeper tonings. Her shoulder length matching veil was finished with a head-dress of velvet orchids, and shaded pink cyclamen, tulips, peach blossoms, freesias and maidenhair fern made up her pretty shower bouquet. Mr R. M. Daniell, cousin of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man. Later the guests were entertained at a reception held in the State Buildings. Mrs Cody wore a tailored costume of teal' blue with matching accessories, a fur necklet and contrasting shoulder spray. Mrs Daniell was attired in an air force blue costume, a fur necklet with a shoulder spray of tingitani and navy accessories. When Cpl. and Mrs M. E. Daniell left on their honeymoon the bride wore a black maple crepe frock embroidered in cyclamen and smart fitting black braided coat with patent trimmed nat and accessories to match.
