HOMING PIGEONS

MASTERTON CLUB SHOW HELD ON SATURDAY. CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS CONTEST. The Masterton Homing Pigeon Club held its final show of the 1942 season on Saturday. The birds were judged by Mr James Nicholl, of Carterton. Results: — Champion cock: Miss Alison Miller 1, A. Pinkney 2, R. Stewart 3, I. Forrester v.h.c., W. Miller h.c., Miss Betty Miller c. Champion hen: W. Miller 1, A. Pinkney 2, Miss Alison Miller 3, W. Steer v.h.c., R. Stewart and Son h.c., W. Steer c. Champion of champions: Miss Alison Miller. Any other colour: W. Miller 1, R. Stewart and Son 2, T. Grant 3. The points competition was won by R. Stewart & Son (75 points) with W. J. Miller (46 points) second.
