Heavy rain for the first three races and showers for the remainder of the afternoon made conditions unpleasant for the combined race meeting staged at Marton on Saturday by the Rangitikei and Manawatu Hunt Clubs. The track was very heavy. There was an average attendance and the tolalisator handled .£18,124 10s. At the Rangitikei Hunt meeting on the same course last year £21.398 10s was put through.
