RATES RECOVERY

EXTENSION OF PERIOD. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Regulations were issued today extending from three to five years the time within which local authorities may move to obtain judgment on outstanding rates. The Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr Parry) stated that the regulations had been made to avoid complications in the absence of so many ratepayers with the Armed Forces.
