A report from official Japanese sources claims that the war prisoners in Hong Kong, including 1600 Canadians, are satisfied with their food rations, and also that the conditions in the prison camps generally are improving. , A report which has been relayed to the External Affairs Department from the Argentine Government acknowledges that an epidemic of dysentery has occurred among Indian soldieis ana that cholera has afflicted Japanese soldiers and Chinese civilians, but claims that effective measures have been taken to curb the diseases. Prisoners are reported to be given the same food as the Japanese troops.
