CLOTHING COUPONS
♦ MAY IBE CUT IN HALF IN ORDER TO OVERCOME DIFFICULTIES. STATEMENT BY RATIONING CONTROLLER, (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HASTINGS, This Day. M clothing coupons may be cut in half to overcome some of the difficulty being experienced by the public, the Dominion Rationing Controller, Mr Thomas, announced this morning. “In order to overcome part of the difficulty experienced by consumers with fractional parts of coupons,” said Mr Thomas, “it has been decided that M coupons, which cover clothing, footwear and household linen, may be cut in half, provided they are cut diagonally from corner to corner. Half a coupon is the smallest unit into which coupons may be cut.”
