MISSING IN AFRICA
BRITISH REPRESENTATIVE CRICKETER. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.40 a.m.) LONDON, July 13. It is reported in London that the cricketer, W. E. Bowes, has been missing in the Middle East since June 20. He was a lieutenant with an antiaircraft battery. He volunteered at the outbreak of war and was commissioned in November, 1940, and went to Egypt in January last year.
